How to Apply

Applicants:

For the next class starting in September, the application deadline is February 1. All materials must be received at our office by this date.

Applications received after this date may or may not be reviewed, depending on the availability of unfilled positions. Due to the volume of inquries, we are unable to respond to all applications submitted after the deadline.

STEP 1: Documents not provided directly by the applicant.
Contact the following agencies to request information be sent directly to the KU Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Applications are not reviewed until all of the following information is received; therefore, these items must arrive to the program director by the deadline.
  1. Arrange to have one official copy of your transcript from each college and university that you have attended sent directly to the department.
    International students please note: Any transcript not from an accredited U.S. college or university must also be evaluated by the KUMC Office of International Programs before acceptance to the program.

  2. Contact three (3) different individuals who can provide a professional recommendation on your behalf. It is preferred that college instructors provide these recommendations, but past supervisors during employment or volunteer positions are also acceptable. The recommendations may not be obtained from family members, friends, etc.

    Print three of the recommendation forms from the application packet. The completed, signed forms must be returned directly to the program director from the person making the recommendation.
STEP 2: Documents provided by the applicant by mail.
Complete the questions below to obtain the updated application packet. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to open and print the documents. Download it free from Adobe's Web site. Please complete all forms completely and mail in one envelope to the KU Nuclear Medicine Technology program director.

PLEASE NOTE: The requirements for admission to this program are very strict and exceptions or substitutions to prerequisites and qualifications are not allowed. This is one of the most frequent questions from prospective students each year and often leads to applications which are immediately disqualified upon arrival.
